Danny/Flack for Dummies
Naaaw, I don't think you're a dummy. :P It's a spoof of the Dummies series, see? This here's a brief introduction to the fandom that is Danny/Flack. :D If you're new and you're wondering what Danny/Flack is all about, this here's the post to read and see! So there's this television series called CSI: NY. It's a spin-off of the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation show but it's my favorite one of the three CSI shows currently airing because of two very gorgeous reasons:

Say hello to Det. Don Flack (on the left), played by Eddie Cahill and Det. Danny Messer (on the right), played by Carmine Giovinazzo. Flack is a second-grade homicide detective while Danny is a third-grade detective and CSI who works for first-grade CSI Mac Taylor (who is a very handsome man in his own right).
* Just a note of caution before you go on, if you haven't watched the show or certain episodes, some of the following may be spoilerish. I tried my best to pick screencaps just showing Danny and Flack touching or ogling each other without revealing any plot. :>
Flack and Danny are very close friends. In the pilot episode, we already have proof of that by Danny saying to Flack during an interrogation of a perp, "Hoops on Saturday, don't forget." Flack even gives Danny an obvious glance as Danny walks out of the interrogation room.
Danny is the first to initiate an on screen touch, in episode 1x07, Rain:
There was no apparent reason for Danny to touch Flack like that, by the way. He just did it a few seconds before heading off somewhere else and Flack sure didn't mind if his soft smile is anything to go by!
Flack didn't get much of a chance to touch Danny back but, boy, if Flack's gaze was a tangible force, Danny would have reported pervy molestation by Flack dozens of times by now.
This is from episode 1x14, Blood, Sweat & Tears, known to most Danny/Flack shippers as still one of the best Danny/Flack episodes (right after episode 4x13, All in the Family). Seriously, does a regular male colleague stare at another regular male colleague that way? And no, it wasn't only a split second thing. Flack stared at Danny that way multiple times throughout the episode.
This takes place a few minutes after the above screencap. Danny goes to the bathroom in the apartment where the victim was killed, shining his little flashlight here and there while babbling about evidence and such.
And what is Flack doing? He's doing what he does best: ogling Danny because he can't physically touch him
If you have the chance to watch this episode, keep an eye on Flack as they walk to the bathroom door. Flack literally ogles Danny from head to toe and back just before they stop at the door frame and continues to stare at Danny the whole time!
Now both of them are eyefucking each other. Considering CSI:NY is a primetime television show, this is sadly and probably the closest we'll ever come to them physically ravaging each other
Going back to touchy feelyness ... At the end of episode 3x04, Hung Out to Dry, Danny and Flack get to tackle the perp. And by tackle, I mean jump on the guy like there is no tomorrow and play leap frog over each other in their excitement to bust somebody's ass.
Looks like Flack's busy busting Danny's ass and the guy's enjoying immensely.
Alas, this was just a case of a screencap captured at the perfect time.
After they hand the perp over to other cops to be thrown into a cell, here they are watching the perp being led away ... and Danny's arm is definitely pressed up against Flack's side. And neither guy minds it at all!
Danny and Flack aren't very close friends just because they spend time outside of work and play basketball together during the weekends. When Danny is in trouble or danger, Flack is always there to save him, and in more ways than one too. Sometimes Danny can be rather ungrateful of Flack's support but Flack is a persistant man who doesn't have 'quit' or 'abandon Danny' in his dictionary.
When Danny isn't in trouble, Flack usually spends his time forcing his hands to stay at his sides or in his pockets because he can't touch the guy at work without devouring Danny right there and then. So, he has to satisfy himself with touching Danny with his eyes instead:

Flack is always amused by Danny. Here Flack had just explained what an air vent was to Danny and Danny gave him a petulant, "Yeah, I know what it is, Flack." As you can see, Flack wasn't offended in the slightest. Did I mention Flack also gave Danny the nickname of Danno in this instance?
It seems like the love is one-sided. However, Danny's given Flack some puppy-eyed, I-wanna-touch-you-so-bad looks too:
Ooh yeah, Danny finds Flack's bubblebutt so hot he has to bite his own fist in order to not paw Flack in public.
Here, Danny is still preening from Flack's compliment about his boots. Danny ogles Flack from toe to head as he rises to a standing position after kneeling to inspect some evidence, and well, he sure likes what he sees! (He's never, ever smiled like that for anyone else.)
Danny happens to be a total minx too:
Poor Flack. Danny just loves to pose like this whenever Flack's around to drive the man crazy.
Back to more touchy feelyness between the guys! Episode 4x13, All in the Family, is a must watch for anyone interested in seeing intense and hot Danny/Flack interaction and I'm talking Flack-is-Danny's-master-and-Danny's-his-s
Here is a very tense scene in the latter half of the episode. I'll just say that a real jerk in the scene says something very nasty about a person Danny cares very much ...
Danny loses it completely and hurls the guy against a dumpster, punching the guy in the face while Flack attempts to pull him off, yelling his name at the same time.
Flack is nearly a head taller than Danny but when Danny's pissed off, it takes a lot of effort to deal with him!
After the jerk is gone, Flack places his hand on Danny's chest to help Danny focus and calm down. In this screencap, it looks like Danny's reacting badly to Flack touching him but when you watch the episode, you'll see that Danny's upset about something else entirely. Won't spoil that for ya! ;>
So. Do their actor counterparts get all touchy touchy with each other too?
You bet they do!
Here's Carmine and Eddie at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. They're wearing the same dress shirt and tie! Hee!
Here are the guys with (from left) Anthony Zuiker, creator of the CSI franchise, Gary Sinise, the very handsome man who plays Mac Taylor on CSI: NY and believe it or not, Donald Rumsfeld.
And yes, that is indeed Carmine's hand clasping Eddie on the side.
Eddie is a Rangers fan, hence his jersey and him going all fanboy over the Stanley cup. He got the chance to ... spend some quality time with it. So guess who he brought along to squee with him over the big, honking piece of historic metal? That's right, his BFF Carmine.
Me thinks the lady to the left is smiling because she spotted them holding hands behind the thing. *lol*
